July 2018 - DataSpaces 1.7.0 released!
DataSpaces 1.7.0 has been released. This release adds DataSpaces-as-a-Service (DSaaS) persistent server functionality. Addtionally, 1.7.0 provides Hybrid Staging capabilities, and a number of bug fixes and performance improvements.
June 2017 - DataSpaces 1.6.2 released!

November 2016 - DataSpaces student, Qian Sun, wins best paper award at ESPM16
Qian Sun was awarded the best paper award at the Second International Workshop on Extreme Scale Programming Models and Middleware (ESPM2) at SC16 for her paper e ntitled, “In-staging data placement for asynchronous coupling of task-based scientific workflows.”

July 2015 - DataSpaces tutorial at XSEDE'15
DataSpaces group successfully gives a tutorial at XSEDE’15, the 4th annual conference at St. Louis, MO. The slides are available here (Part 1, Part 2).

Our paper titiled “Using Cross-Layer Adaptations for Dynamic Data Management in Large Scale Coupled Scientific Workflows” has been accepted for Super Computing 2013. You can read our paper here.
Below is a video showing distribution of peak memory consumption for an AMR-based Polytropic Gas simulation. Data was collected on the fly to help simulation making corss-layer decisions.
